What about CMA and his staff makes you say that? Unlike Mullin and to a lesser extent Lavin, the effort and team culture is clearly there. They've been out there just as much as any other BE coach the past few months. Doesn't guarantee success on the court, but as someone who follows closely I see no reason to be negative. Him and his entire staff have been extremely impressive so far. Polar opposite of Mullin and co.
That said, I suppose St. John's being cursed is also a possibility.
I think you could just say the head coaches were polar opposites. I think there were a couple of guys on Mullin's staff that were putting in the effort, but it's a lot different when the head guy doesn't put in the effort.
I think Mike Anderson will do well at St. John's, but the quality of the depth this year could be a challenge.
