I hate to say it but I think he's overrating Xavier. Just so many unanswered questions in the post that worries me. I saw Gaston practice two times, the dude is big but looked lost the first practice I was at(preseason last year) but he look better the next one I was it but still didn't make me fee like wow we're fine in the post next year. I saw Ekeyior once at practice he had a decent mid rage jumper which he isn't known to have(might have just been a good day) but I didn't see him much because Xavier was preparing for Nova that day.

I also think X is overrated, at least based on what we know so far. I expect them to finish the season ranked in the 11-20 range.

Keep talking smack it's gonna be great watching you finish in the bottom half of the league this year. Who do you even have on your team anymore? Every year you get farther and farther away from Brad Stevens tenure and the quality of the program keeps slipping. On the other hand we are bringing the top recruiting class in the conference and are projecting upwards while your team is projecting downwards. But trolls don't care about the future, just the past. Oh and even at our worst we're worth more to this league than you at your best. The conference gets paid the money we do because of us, not because of you. No go run along, Pa is calling for you to feed the pigs.

The pigs comment is cute. Gotta love east coast exceptionalism.

Redmen have you ever been to Lincoln Nebraska? I think you'd get along great with Husker football fans. They're masters at crafting the "still nationally relevant" argument

Pounding your chest about being a Top 10 all time wins team when your team isn't even a top 50 team this century is laughable. If a Butler fan were to pound his check about a 1924 national championship that would be equally as meaningless and irrelevant as St. John's all time wins record. Butler has brought the league 4 NCAA credits since joining... St. Johns has brought the league 1 and and bunch of embarrassment too. I haven't looked at the breakdown, but judging by the fact that in NYC St. Johns can rarely bring more than 11k fans to a game at MSG, I would surmise that there really isn't all that much interest in St. John's in the NYC market or anywhere else. Nobody is turning on those games to watch that awful basketball. I am glad you are excited to talk about the future... it will be all the more exciting to watch your top recruiting class fail spectacularly (much like always they did under Lavin). If you think Mullins is a good coach you are fooling yourself. He didn't even participate or stand with the team during timeouts last year. Butler has had 4 different head coaches win NCAA tournament games since the Red Storm has won 1. St. John's is slipping farther and farther from even being considered a relevant college basketball team. Hell, even your administrators are committing suicide to get out of there...
I really can't stop laughing at the fact that you think ANYONE cares about St. John's being on the top 10 all time wins list. I probably can't find anyone under 50 who would even know that or care. That is amusing!!!

Actually it's making me hungry. I didn't get a chance to eat lunch today.

OT... I mentioned this before... Lincoln is home to my favorite state capitol building... total Art Deco with amazing reliefs and mosaics... a must see for everyone. My wife and stumbled upon it driving home from Denver, and spend a couple of hours looking around. The elevator was closed that day though.

Keep laughing as your team struggles to stay relevant. Our staff includes two hall of famers and two of the best recruiters in college basketball. I'd be more worried about Holtman being able to actually recruit Big East level recruits.

Nope, I've been a long-time lurker and decided to finally post for the first time to respond to your 'Butler will fail to stay relevant comment.'

SJ has been to 4 NCAA tournaments this millennium! And one of those was vacated. So 3 tourney appearances. 3.
Butler is no Nova, but we've been to 11 in that same time period. So bringing up relevance is comical. Scoreboard.
