However, fair or not fair, he will be viewed as a small school guy that racked up a crap load of points in a system his dad built around him. I only say this because I have already had this conversation with several people. He will be in the same mold as Morrison. (It goes without saying that I couldn't possibly disagree any more)
A deep NCAA run would have changed the perception. Didn't happen. Sustained success in the NBA would also change that perception. We will see on that one.

That said, I'm not sure people (especially not the media) are really looking at comparing him to the past Big East greats. It's a new conference and a new era the sooner we all embrace the future and quit trying to compare to the past, the more successful this conference can be and the less flack it will take for the name.

His college career will go down as one of the greatest college careers of all time and he will always be the only three time AA in something like 25 years, and will stand 5th all time in the scoring list for a long time to come.
What is really dumb about the "his daddy designed an offense around him" posts is that every coach worth two cents is smart enough to design his offense around the player who is your best offensive scorer, whose offensive efficiency is better than any player in years according to statitions, and who, outside of one or two games, no one has been able to stop let alone hardly slow down in two years, no matter what defense they try to throw at him. On top of that, what player who averages 25+ points a game doesn't have the offense built around him, whether its running screens to get him open or get him matched up on smaller players on switches, running pick and pops for him or just clearing out and letting him do his thing? It would not have mattered a lick had he played for for some other halfway intelligent coach instead of his dad.
