Great news all the way around. Fox is positioning itself well for the long-term.

Further confirmation:

Kevin McNamara – ‏@KevinMcNamara33

With football's national semifinals set for Dec. 31, look for @BIGEASTMBB to tip league play on Dec. 30. Matchups out soon.

Can't say it's a surprise at all. I just wonder what changed between Feb and now. Back in Feb VA was still talking very positively about the Marathon...

Now the question will be- is it a Marathon on Dec 30?

Hosting TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS is Brian Kenny, a veteran boxing announcer currently serving as an MLB Network studio host, a position he continues to hold.

Schedule, on the last page of the PDF release, seems to show that the boxing will not be in the way of the college basketball schedule. Four cards in January & February, all at 11pm ET.

Ugh, why does Fox insist on having stuff on at 11pm when Fox Sports Live should be airing? How often do you see ESPN's Sportscenter not aired? Yeah MNF, but really outside of that.

Not that i watch it, but the only fighter that was as dominant as Rousey was Mike Tyson. That's why there is still such a buzz around Tyson... the same all-out attack mode where fights were measured in seconds rather than rounds, and against legitimately tough opponents. After Tyson, we were left with watching Evander Holyfield walk in slow circles for 45 minutes... zzzzz...

Yeah, I've heard that comparison a lot recently. She's got that same thing where folks goals are to survive the first round, just like with Tyson.

The only question now, who is going to be Buster Douglas?

So, do you want the boxing to confict with college basketball?

College basketball doesn't take the 7 and 9pm slots Monday thru Friday. So it doesn't have to be an either/or. FSL has become so hit and miss when it's actually on with all the stuff it's pre-empted for. Some stuff you see- college basketball, late college football game. But Boxing?
