St John's losses in the 5 games vs the Top-10 RPI teams were by only 3 pts, 3 pts, 5 pts, 7 pts and 11 pts.

St Joseph's played 1 game vs a Top-10 RPI team, and lost it.
St Joseph's loss in their only game vs a Top-10 RPI was by a whopping 30 (thirty) points, at home.

TO REPEAT:
ST JOHN'S: 6 games vs Top-10 ---> 1 win vs Creighton ---> 5 losses by an avg of 5 points ---> all were 2 possession games under 4 minutes.
ST JOSEPH'S: 1 game vs Top-10 ---> LOST BY 30 POINTS AT HOME.

Will the committee use their brains and take this into consideration...?

um, didn't St Joe's also lose by 4 to Creighton?

also St John's next best team they played is #48 Xavier. Lost 2x...

St Joe's in the meantime played 4 teams 11-20 and went 2-2 vs them.

St John's 2nd best win is vs Georgetown. Huge difference there.

Um, ok, I forgot to include yet another St Joseph's home loss to a Big East team. Thanks for the reminder.

Also, since 87 Boston University is such an impressive win for St Joe's as we peer through the looking glass...
ST JOHN'S BEAT THE 64 SAN FRANCISCO DONS BY 24 POINTS (WAS 35 TIL LAVIN CALLED OFF THE DOGS).

ok, St John's of their games 3 of the 5 losses were home and another was a neutral site.

committee would take St Joe's with a lot more good wins than St John's with 1 top 50 win. That's an absolute killer....

Interesting look at the best bracketologists over the past year. Joey Brackets in the bottom 50% and his best year was 2006 ...

BE should feel better looking at the latest brackets of the best pickers of the past years.

Thanks for these links. Gives me hope that common sense will prevail. Love the "Joey Brackets" nickname... the dude is 35th...

actually the higher the number the better. Last 2 years he's tied for 24th for those that picked both years. 1st few years he wasn't good but last 2 he's gotten much stronger.....

one thing as well, this kind of correlates to that Dance Card site.

from the site:
As a result we concluded that the 2012 committee did not follow the biases of past committees, and decided to use this "unbiased" version of the Dance Card to generate the 2013 ranking. In 2013, it perfectly predicted 37 of 37 bids, making this version 73 of 74 (or 98.6%) in the two years combined. We therefore conclude that the 2012 and 2013 committees were unbiased.

If you look at the whole list- every bracketologist except for 6 were better these last 2 years, than the 2 years prior. Lunardi's projections improved by the 12th most from a score of 305 up to 331. It seems as if the committee has gotten easier to read at least these last 2 years....

oh,and the guy who was #3 in this list- from USA today- has us with 3.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nc ... y/6228743/

St John's and Providence with 2 of the 1st 5 out and Georgetown 1 of 3 others considered...

This was before the Nebraska win(he had them in a PIG) and the St Joe's loss(he had them as a 10 seed)

St Joes vs the best teams on their schedule:

Nova - home (L)
Creighton - home (L)
Dayton - home (W)
VCU - home (w)
UMass - home (w)
SLU - home (L)
Boston U - home (W)

LSU - Neutral (L)

GW - away (L)
Umass (l)
Dayton (W)

I honestly see two good wins on this schedule. At Dayton and H vs VCU. If that is a tourney resume then college ball is waaaayyyy down this year.
Go Nova!

The #3 guy is actually Patrick Stevens, who no longer writes for USA Today but is actually with Syracuse.com

http://www.syracuse.com/patrick-stevens ... ets_w.html

Villanova 1 seed, Creighton 3 seed, Xavier 11 seed
Georgetown, Providence, and St. John's all in the next four out
