Purdue just trashed UVA by 29 points. Good for Marquette and possibly Butler.

good for Butler also no matter what. stronger opponent so even a loss isn't as bad.

Yeah, I'd like to see Butler take advantage of it but man Purdue's a different team now.

UNC getting clobbered by OSU. Gotta say the Big Ten is much stronger than expected preseason. No question the best conference.

So there are 16 undefeated teams remaining and the Big East will see 5 of them this month:

Georgetown @SMU 12/7
West Virginia @SJU 12/7
Delaware @ Nova 12/14
Maryland @ Seton Hall 12/19
Arizona vs SJU 12/21

the others are:

Duquesne
Liberty
Louisville
Butler
DePaul
Indiana
Ohio State
San Diego State
Colorado
Arkansas
Auburn

Wow, Duquesne being on that list is just as shocking as DePaul. If UConn hadn't come to their senses, their apparent rise would have some meaning here, as many have said that if Duquesne could somehow return to what they were back in the days of the independents, they would join a strong St. Louis at the top of the list, had we needed to add a member or two. Those fit geographically, and don't have any of the major drawbacks (small markets, overlapping territories, distance) of the other teams that we've mentioned, besides the fact that they've sucked far too often.

Here's the 7 though that Duquesne has beaten-
#215 Princeton
#246 Lamar
#196 Lipscomb
#129 Indiana St
#187 Air Force
#175 Loyola Marymount
#309 VMI

Not exactly murderers row. Looks like an OOC schedule that a team from that city that used to be in the Big East would be proud of. Right now #321 SOS.
