I think Providence and Xavier probably get in with wins. SJU I think needs two wins. I don't even want to fathom what happens if Providence and X lose and Villanova beats SJU. That might be a nightmare scenario.

Xavier definitely does, and PC almost guaranteed does get in with wins.

If you look at it by a game by game basis, that's probably the most likely scenario if Xavier has injury issues.

Someone on redmen pointed out that 6 of the 8 teams in ESPN first four in/out should face each other in the tournaments (including sju/Providence). This has to be good for bubble teams looking to jump some spots.

I guess with Stainbrook out until atleast Saturday, can X lose and still get in? They have two top 25 wins in Cincy and Creighton but will that be enough. They have the "injury" card with Stainbrook if they lose the first game since he would most likely be back in time for the tourney.

Give \me two wins just to be sure of getting in.
Yeah it be against nova, but if they want in the ncaa tourny, then they better beat them.

Hey I'm a sju fan and right there with you. I want two wins but it'll be tough

Which it should be. No games in the tourny should be a gimme.
Bottomline though, if they want in the Tournament then they gotta get it done.

Lunardi is saying, if SJU beats PC then we`re in.
Basically it`s an elimination game.

I hope he's right but SJU is 1-7 vs. Top 50 RPI, that stinks.

If Xavier can really convince the Committee that he is fine for the tournament, maybe, as then the three losses would have asterisks on them. I don't like the idea of hoping for that.

This is why I was really hoping for even a cameo appearance on Thursday, as it would lend a lot of weight to the idea that he'll be ready for the tournament.
