couple of big things in there:
While alterations to the existing TV deals have been made as schools have entered the conference, to my knowledge the BTN contract cannot be opened to extract games for another entity.

ESPN and CBS don't have a space problem when it comes to fitting all these games in. I would assume that both have the opportunity to negotiate exclusively with the conference first before FOX can provide an official offer, and that both would be able to provide a counteroffer in some cases if FOX were to bid on all rights.

The question will be, will ESPN and CBS blow the doors off of the Big Ten before Fox can get to the table... Similar to what ESPN and Turner did with the NBA. If so, does the Big Ten bite.

How would they have priority over Fox when Fox already is in a JV with the BTN?

Because ESPN and CBS already have their current main deals. The Big Ten Network is a completely different animal.

Garbage Time with Katie Nolan is getting some pretty horrific ratings.

The Fox/AT&T U-verse bitchsession hasn't been solved. Here is a media report from a month or two ago. It appears that this dispute is rather unique. I got to watch the USMNT v Swiss soccer game in Spanish. All I understood was GOOOAAAALLLL! This certainly isn't helping rating.

At first glance, a new battle between Fox Sports 1 and AT&T U-verse would appear to be the latest in a very long line of skirmishes between media companies and video-distribution outlets over prices for programming. But this one has a twist: Fox Sports 1 will continue to be shown on the AT&T service, even though some of its bigger events may not.

The 21st Century Fox-owned sports cable network said Friday it would not show some major events to AT&T U-verse subscribers, including Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race from Atlanta; eight other Nascar Xfinity series races; 17 Big East Conference basketball games, eight United States Golf Association events; and many Major League Soccer matches, unless the two sides could come to new terms.

AT&T said it would not pay the extra costs Fox Sports required for such events. “Fox Sports 1 is asking AT&T to pay additional fees for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Big East Basketball Games, as well as U.S. Golf Association tournaments. While it’s important to us that we provide our customers with the content they want, we don’t believe that it is reasonable to pass on the added costs of carrying this programming to our customer,” the company said in a statement.” Our strategy has always been to carry the sports our customers want most, but only through fair deals for our customers and our business. We won’t agree to a deal that would cause our customers to pay unreasonable rates.”

It opened up with 99k and now 79k. Not bad.

yeah, that's not horrific at all quite frankly. was expecting to hear based off of the 1st post like 25k or something like that.

What will be interesting to see is how she does starting this Sunday, as Sunday night baseball starts up.

Isn't it even more likely that since they are partners together on the BTN they will at least allow Fox to bid? Hell it's not just the BTN but also the B1G FB championship game. You see the worst case scenario as the most likely scenario. You assume Fox and the Big East are going to fail at every conceivable turn. It's just tiring at this point reading your posts. Doom & gloom around every corner and nothing will ever go our way. We should have taken 1 mil a year for the entire conference so we could play on ESPN U and ESPN news.
