Dayton Finally Gets It's NCAA Success

Buzz has yet to say why he left. I doubt the BE had anything to do with it. His buyout was reduced from 2 mill to 10,000 when the AD left. Sounds like a good time to move if you're going to. The BE has the Southern Ohio market covered. Much better candidates if they decide to expand. UD thinks ONE S16 appearance grants them legendary status of some kind. It's one result for the A-10's 6 bids. Big Deal. They lost 3 times to St. Joe's, once by nearly 30. They'll be decent next year, but the record will be about the same altho the A-10 is losing a bunch of senior playmakers. Their recruiting class ain't much. Basically, UD fans for some reason think they're great whenever they have a 2 game winning streak. They don't get the legacy of winning part. The current success is certainly a stepping stone, but win the A-10 a few times and check back. Soooooooooo many better candidates in different geographical areas. UD makes no sense. The BE isn't even a year old. Geesh! Guess we supposed to win the NC right out of the box? Get some perspective.

Can any of our new Big East brethren grasp now why UD is such an amazingly, irritating, obnoxious, delusional thorn/rash in X fans sides that refuses to just go away.

Bottom line: UD has not accomplished anything near to what would merit an invite......period. They are a middle tier A10 program that happened to make a nice run this year.......make the tournament seven of the next ten years, win a few games, and then this can possibly be revisited. Xu dash is nice enough to put together an organized, well thought out post that hits on the REAL issues.....the issues and points that UD fans fail to see, or most likely, don't want to acknowledge.

These fans are coming out in droves over a team that finished sixth in a mid major conference, won games during the season they shouldn't have, was part of the last four into the tourney, won a game on a last second shot in the first round, and beat a team that didn't hit a three the entire game.

Why are UD fans on here anyways? Seriously? I can understand a few X fans on the A10 board as we were a part of that league for many years. Dayton fans on here reek of desperation. Richmond and Slu fans post from time to time, but they bring solid conversation with substantive info and talking points.
