yeah they tweaked it to put more weight on road/neutral games. Don't think the committee sees it even.

wonder why dance card uses the old system and has been so accurate then. I mean there's a huge difference between 45 and 58 for SJU.

One other possibility is that Dance Card has Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word in there as D1 schools, and they aren't for NCAA RPI purposes. So maybe some teams in that 45-58 range played one of those, and so their RPI would get inflated a bit due to that.

Dance card simply did not want to change the algorithm that was working. They factor in road/neutral wins, record, etc. already as part of the algorithm. So St. John's and others get the benefit of road/neutral wins already in the algorithm. I wouldn't worry about old RPI in their formula. Just part of it.

I feel the winner of sju Providence makes it. Otherwise, we are looking at a three bid league maximum (barring a big upset by GT) which is ridiculous for the third best conference.
