Marquette 14
Xavier 16
Creighton 17
UCONN 20

If the next four teams are listed in order, but maybe they're not

Not too bad.

There is a strong disconnect between the NET and these seeds. If you create a formula that is intended to be the primary driver of seedings for the tournament, and it is strongly ignored, then what is the point of having it?

K-State should not be a 3-seed. Indiana should not be a 4-seed.

The lack of respect for the Big East here makes me question if a 3-1 finish would even be enough for SHU to sneak in. Might be auto bid or bust already.

I think those next 4 teams are alphabetical and not in order.

Makes sense with UCONN being that low.

Reynolds said Creighton, Miami, Saint Mary's and UConn were the other teams under discussion for the final spots.

This is the lone mock bracket reveal of the season. Selection Sunday is March 12.

So right now there would be 4 Big East teams as Top 5 seeds. And PC wouldn't be too far behind. That's a pretty stout group of five that would make us the third or fourth conference overall. If we could somehow add a sixth team (SHU? - although it's not looking great) or if we had an upset at BET (Nova?), I think everyone in the Big East office would take that in a minute.

NET is used to judge opponents, not a team itself, just like RPI before it. If seeds tracked too closely with NET, that would be rather suspicious.

Yeah the lack of parity/more seperation this year has made the seedings very attractive. Just imagining where things would be had OOC play been better off.
