Didn’t see the game, but I can guess that Huey got one?

This is the only other time besides the first Butler game (1/7) that Xavier has scored over the D1 average in points per possession during the conference slate. That was a fun game, and UConn, particularly Cole, hit some tough shots to keep it close.

I thought the free throws were gonna come back to bite you guys.

Couldn’t agree more.

Still, we finally played with passion and purpose for 40 minutes.

UCONN is legit.

I get that part of Hurley’s schtick is the underdog, us-against-the-world, Jersey fighter mentality. But the sideline antics, the T’s, and the “better get us now” comments are getting old IMO. Grow up Danny and act like you belong. UConn is struggling under DH in close games b/c they mirror their coach. When composure, discipline and execution are required Danny is often unhinged and unfocused on the sideline.

I don't know if it's a composure thing. UCONN can't get easy buckets when the game gets tight, and it's a problem shared by Villanova tbh.

Congrats X. You wanted it more, Steele outcoached Hurley, and our sideline antics are getting old.
