I agree that playing a DII game at this level is a joke.

I do see it often in low-major conferences such as the America East where they routinely play a DII game for obvious reasons.

gonna be interesting to see if Providence can take advantage of Texas Tech playing literally no one so far. top opponent so far by KP is 261 North Florida. Their opponents so far are a remarkable 1-31 vs D1 schools with a D2 loss as well.

Speaking of weak scheduling, Texas Tech is 11th on Kenpom with SOS of 357 out of 358. Their 6 opponents have a combined 1 win vs. division 1 opponents. It'll be interesting to see if such a weak schedule makes them look unprepared @Providence Wednesday. Friar couldn't have asked for a more favorable condition.

D2 games count on your record but not RPi or for NCAA Tourney purposes.

It's a good thing, especially for a severely injury-depleted Butler squad. Right now Coach Jordan needs every break he can get,
with his team suffering so many injuries. Of course, no one envisioned so many injuries when scheduliing such games, but it turns
out to be advantageous for the Bulldogs. #RollDawgsRoll!
