what is worse about it from Big East perspective is that it's one of the 4 games that will be on FS1.

The thing that I would wonder about it is did Jay with all the youth that Nova has push for an easier matchup this year? That's the only thing that logic would prevail I think.

Even if that was the thinking, Nebraska is just a bad choice. They are one of a very few teams to never win a NCAA
tournament game(Northwestern is another).

I'd like to see DePaul vs. Illinois
Butler vs. Indiana
Seton Hall vs. Rutgers
Georgetown vs. Maryland
Marquette vs. Wisconsin
Xavier vs. Ohio State
Villanova vs. Penn State
Creighton vs. Nebraska
Providence vs. Iowa
St. John's vs. Northwestern

Right, but isn't that the good part of it then? It's not a hard matchup. With this theory they wouldn't want anything like Ohio St or Michigan St or Wisconsin or Maryland, etc.

Who the hell is picking these games?? I can't believe Fox would approve of this game, it will get zero buzz, Nebraska stinks!

You're right about that. They should have no problem winning. I guess I was thinking more about a team like Indiana. A game Nova should win at home and a game that would generate national interest and ratings!

This should mean a couple big names from the Big 10 will be on the road then right? I can't imagine Fox would sign off on Nebraska, Rutgers, Penn St, and Northwestern as the games they get to air on their network.

We already play UW, Creighton plays Nebraska and seton hall and rutgers already play. I'd rather have a new team come in for the home and home

got to remember that there are only 8 games a year. So 2 of these games wouldn't happen.

Also, these games are NOT home and homes from what I understand. They are 1 off games. So if Nebraska comes to Nova for instance this year, there is no playback game next year.

DePaul should get Northwestern if anything. Butler already plays Indiana on a rotating basis, so that won't be part of the challenge. Seton Hall already has a home-home with Rutgers, so no dice there. MU already plays UW every year, no go. Creighton already plays Nebraska every year, done deal. Georgetown-Maryland would be cool. Xavier-Ohio State might be fun. The rest are all meh for me.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
