I'll be in NYC during the tourney but didn't buy tickets from X before they sold out. Hopefully I'll be able to pick some up outside.

How many tickets does each school get?

I'm not sure. MSG seats over 19,000 so I'm guessing each school gets a bit less than 2,000 to begin with. Whatever they don't sell gets returned to the league for sale to the general public. A friend tried to get some through the ticket office and was told they had sold out their allotment.

You also have to subtract out several thousand (I have no idea the actual number) that will be for corporate sales and not allocated to teams. I think it is closer to 1,500 per team - although I do not know that to be a fact. I have no idea whether Creighton sold out its allotment this year. Given the cost of attending and CUs year, it is possible that many fans who normally travel will skip this year. I hope not, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Creighton bailed us out last year. In the future we shouldn't have to rely in people from Nebraska flying yo. Yo in march. The 5 east coast teams should be able to handle 3k tickets per school.

I went last year and plan on going again regularly if/when Marquette gets better. Just couldn't fork over the cash and use PTO to see MU's worst team in my lifetime.

OMG - Why would ANYONE pay those resale/second hand market prices when the schools didn't sellout their allotments and thousands of seats remain onsale at the box office/ticketmaster for as little as $20/session (for the first 3 sessions) and $40/session (the last two)... for $140 total.

Announced attendance for round 1 in Greensboro yesterday was 9,003. Down @ 1,900 from last year.

I've watched some of all 3 of the ACC games so far. Since it beats studying and all 3 games have been lots of bad bad basketball despite close games none were that entertaining.

haven't watched any- but given yesterday's games were the 11-14 seeds and today is 8-9 seeds- you're watching 6 of the 7 worst teams in the conference. I think you watch any conference that big and those 3 games(well, at least first 2 games) would be like that. There's a reason why teams are playing in that 11-14 game or 12-13 game.
