I decided to give bracketology a shot. Here is my latest bracket with bracket math (s-curve) included:

Since it is very possible that the A10 and BE will meet somewhere along in the tournament
Looking at the top two in each conference, let's gets some opinions on how they could match up

UD or VCU
vs
VU or BU

any commentary out their on how these hypothetical contests would play out?

UD and VCU and BU have the experience and proven ability to advance in the tournament, VU the best team, but cant get out of the early rounds.

Butler would gladly play Green Bay in the first round, but I'd rather not have Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen. I'd rather see them in the Final Four or Championship game.

UD would lose to both, VU & BU.
VCU would lose to VU, close win vs BU.

1 thing to remember- a Villanova/VCU game would be at least a sweet 16 game, if not Elite 8. looking at RPI Forecast, VCU is forecasted to have the #1 OOC SOS in the country. They may get a 3 seed quite frankly.

I do think VCU will have improved some as the year has gone along. This years tourney is HUGE for them to me.

Any team that can handle the ball should beat VCU. This includes Villanova, Butler, Georgetown, St John's... basically every Big East school.

Yep. Michigan destroyed them a few years back in the NCAA Tournament by simply taking care of the basketball. Nova did the same.

St John's wouldn't have the depth to keep up with VCU. You have to be able to play 9 or 10 guys easy.

Last time VCU played Butler it was a massacre for VCU. And vs Georgetown it was a 4 pt game. I'd be worried about the turnovers this year for us(in conference play, we've got a 19.7 TO pct which is 7th worst behind Marquette, Creighton, and DePaul.)

And yeah Villanova and Michigan handled them but Nova is a top 5 team and Michigan made the title game. And the Nova game was tight at halftime.
