What you need to do is save this sheet and review it in March to see how accurate it is. All 'experts' claim that they nail their projections at 95% or such, but they base that on their last pre-Selection Sunday picks. No one looks back at January 1 to see how well they picked the field.

This makes my point from the other thread that the parity could mean a lot of bids and a lot of disappointment when the tourney starts. This means that we probably lose 5 of the 7 on the 1st weekend. Better off having 3-4 teams separate from the pack.

Parity could also make 7 bids unachievable. As of today, the BE has six RPI Top 50 teams (actualy, six teams with RPI Rankings of # 41 or better) and six teams are now 1-1 in conference play.
RPI Rankings: http://www.udpride.com/images/rpi.htm
BE Standings: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... conference
It is hard to believe that RPI # 25 St. John's are two games behind RPI # 208 DePaul after the first week of conference play.
