It had been a dark and embarrassing stretch beginning with Ryan Gomes graduation in the early 2000s that started to turn the moment one Ed Cooley arrived as our savior just a few seasons ago. He has lived up to all the promises and then some, the culture change is astounding. Expectations and excitement have returned to Friartown. Much work is yet to be done and we've got two key pieces hobbled with ankle issues at the moment(Dunn and Freshman sharpshooter Jalen Lindsey). Not sure we'll see them Friday against a game Yale team but hoping they can play against UK or after. Hoping and praying it does not become a season long nagging injury thing, the program is due for a relatively injury free run, even having lost expected contributor Rodney Bullock in preseason.
Anyway if Dunn and Lindsey return the Friars have depth not seen in ages, which is so refreshing. Last year we had the warrior 6 who played all the minutes, this year we have 10 who play meaningful minutes in bursts and stretches.
Thanks again for the recognition, it may not last. One loss and you're typically out of the rankings unless you're a blue blood or in the top 10. But is shocking to consider PC, with such a rich and proud basketball history had not seen the rankings in 10 years!

um, at least for Dunn it's an ankle and not a shoulder
