I'm really surprised by how far Wake has fallen. Seems like just a couple years ago they were #1 and consistently competing

Games that help put things in perspective:

Ole Miss blowing out Cincinnati by 16 with a couple of minutes left.

Virginia beating Rutgers with 1:36 left, score is 42-26. Rutgers led at the half 18-17. With 8 minutes left in the game, it was like 33-24. Virginia, the pride of the ACC.

I don't see a 19 point win as being all that bad. Several times a halftime score is very misleading.

Oh, and Virginia isn't the top ACC team. They were the 4th highest ranked ACC team behind Duke, Louisville, and UNC. UVA is one of 5 undefeated ACC schools.

I think also one thing to remember a lot of these teams have played like 7 games in 15 days. It's a lot quite frankly out of the shoot(this year is much more condensed compared to normal quite frankly).

Uconn loses a buzzer beater to Texas. As of now, the AAC is way down, their best wins are Dayton and Auburn. None of their teams will be ranked next week. I know its still early but the non football 5 conferences are way down. AAC looks like a two bid league, same with A-10 and maybe WCC. Mountain West looks horrible with only San Diego State. That means more bids for the Big East.

We'll learn a lot about the MWC the next few weeks...
Wyoming is 6-0 with a win over Colorado. games with SMU and Cal the next 10 days.
Colorado St is 6-0 with no good wins, but games with UTEP and Colorado the next 10 days.

The thing that will be interesting is will those bids go to the Big east, or will the F5 get more?

On the Virginia game... as i mentioned above, it was 33-24 with around 8 to play in the game. Against Rutgers, who could barely dribble the ball without it going off their feet. The game was a horror show. And Virginia is the ACC's golden boy. Loved Va's strutting around and dunking on Rutgers near the end, like they really accomplished something.
