I think worrying about being 21-9 or 20-9 is a good problem to have.

I had SJ finishing 3rd. Make that 7th now due to Thomas being ineligible.

NJRedman, what are you still expecting 21 wins with zero front court? First people killed me for saying Thomas would be gone. Now we know he is gone. Now people are killing me for taking SJ from 3rd to 7th+ due to his absence. I will probably be right again. In a conference where 1 or 2 games makes all the difference, how is it so hard to go from 3rd to 7th? All I know is this is yet another season we are not in the tourney. If you are ok with that then fine. I'm not ok with it.

Dude, no one said he wouldn't be ineligible, we were saying wait and see. We also took exception to you saying that automatically we were done for the season, which is insanely premature and irresponsible. You have no faith in the team, you have no faith in the players which means to me you are no true fan of the St. John's mens basketball program. You can be apprehensive but to say we are done without a shadow of a doubt before the first tip off of the season because we lost a JUCO transfer shows just how ignorant you and how little faith you have in a senior heavy team. As I said previously, go on over to CSNBBS, you will find a lot more posters who agree with you on your bleak view of the SJU program and the BE conference. Tell Stever I said hi when you get there.

The problem with St. john's last season was the streaky scoring. The scoring droughts that put us in big holes that we could not come back from. Thomas being ineligible isn't great, but I think we still finish in top three. He wasn't going to light up the scoreboard. I'm not terribly concerned.

I had St. John's 3/4 and was having trouble deciding where to slot them. Now I think I'll have to slot them 5/6. But they should still be top 6 in the league.
