It doesn't really matter what we call them does it? I'm doing it only because everyone knows who I'm talking about. Last season everyone was adding the A-10 and we had the American in as well. If that's what they want to call themselves so be it - once we beat them, we can call them losers. notkirk, nice job. You've got the Johnnies perfect. Most teams really added some non-con heft. Seton Hall could use a little upgrade but they will have a young team so it might help. SJHooper - I was at the garden yesterday too. Pretty cool right. After I was talking with a few guys from our section at MSG. if we could win 2 out of four of the NIT games and Cuse and Duke ( with no bad losses) we would be in great shape. Would rather beat Cuse at the Dome than Duke at the Garden, but maybe we get both this time?

No, giving into the name they anointed themselves legitimizes the names they refer to other conferences as, specifically the mid-major label. And we shouldn't use "mid-major" on the A-10, AAC, MWC, MVC, WCC, etc either.

Exactly. This is why we should refer to them as any name other than P5 (I like F5 personally). It makes it seem like us and several other multi-bid conferences are "non-power" or worse "not important."

Since we have some time before the games actually start, and since notkirk did a nice job lusting the teams, rank the best to worst non-cons in terms of difficulty.

Cincinnati probably should be in the P5 for football (not necessarily basketball) but they are not. Was your goal to list only P5 opponents? If so Cincinnati should not be listed.

Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."
