Patience is a virtue. Be patient. We don't need to rush out and grab the "soup of the day." All 10 teams in this conference can compete and the presidents know this. Just give the conference time. We're not going to go out and add everyone and their second cousin because they had a good previous season. If and when we do expand, it will be because another major F5 shakeup.
Also, if the conference starts throwing teams out, it won't be a conference for long...
And please, no Wichita State.

Like it or not, VCU isn't a soup of the day. They've made the tourney in 7 of the last 10 years.

And the thing to watch, if we have another year like last year- the pressure is going to start getting pretty big. The thing is perceptions can become reality faster than you ever want to think....

So I admit I am not a long time Big East fan. I follow the Big East because my daughter went to one of the new schools to play sports. But the opinion of the Big East schools seems very similar to the MWC which at one time was knocking on the door and was in key states like Texas and CA. Like the Big East they extolled the value of small compact conferences and didn't expand our add key teams. Now they have deteriorated and are completely out of Texas with no way of getting back in. Like the ACC, you have to double down when you are strong, add key teams from your rivals and expand your footprint. The MWC didn't do it and everyone now acknowledges the stupidity of their Presidents. The Big East is doing the same thing.

Kansas and Southern Virginia are big basketball areas. Wichita State and VCU are programs with strong all around success.
