YES on the Big O. He is the ONLY NBA player to average a triple double for an entire season. And he wasn't playing against the Jazz, Bucks or Cavaliers.

I would submit that Wilt Chamberlain is the best value pick, closely followed by Walt Frazier, who was one of the best defensive guards ever to play in the NBA.

Where I can agree is that the C position is by far the most talented as a group making almost all of them great value picks. Wade may be on thee verge of his 4th chip with the potential for more...just saying.

For 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics, from 1979-80 through 1991-92, Bird personified hustle, consistency and excellence in all areas of play--as a scorer, a passer, a rebounder, a defender, a team player, and, perhaps above all, as a clutch performer.

Wilt - $3 (he's the Babe Ruth of the NBA); compare his stats to others of his generation; scary dominant like no other player has ever been; every board is his basically and can own the paint; put Wilt on the Celtics and Russell on the Warriors/Sixers/Lakers and BR is no longer on this list and Wilt is worth $10 by himself
Kobe (in prime) - $4 killer competitor; can defend; he would take the MJ matchup personally and those two would really go at it; prob the only two guard on this list that would make MJ work on both ends really hard; give MJ the edge but maybe not by much
LBJ -$5 play anywhere and who guards him?; hugely underrated defender
Stockton $2 - just get the ball to the guys who can score and play defense; exhibit a of that: Stockton
Garnett $1 - excellent defender; set picks, hit the 15 footer and brings attitude; doesn't need to score with LBJ, Michael and Wilt on the floo; perfect glue guy for this team (actually if I could grab Kevin Love who could do the same and add the 3 pt shot capability, I'd take him over KG for my $1--not because he's better but because he would fit this team better).
Go Nova!

Nothing at either one of these sites highlights LB as a defender as you did. I was only referring to your description of that part of his game. LB's resume speaks for itself otherwise.

Having been called out by a couple of you, I hang my head in shame. I'll only say in my defense that some of you guys have more time on your hands than I do. I never read the graphic, so I didn't fail on reading comp, just sloppy rushed work - which is bad enough. I just read the topic & posted my all time team. Here's my revised effort, staying within the guidelines.

PG - Clyde - most underrated player on the board
SG - Michael
SF - Lebron
PF - Duncan - best value on the board at that price
C - Hakeem

Hall - I did not post my description of Larry Bird's defense. I merely copied the second sentence of the linked nba.com article. If you have a problem with what I quoted, take it up with nba.com.

That's fine. I assumed if you posted it, you agreed with it. Anyway all I did was laugh at that description because I watched him play enough to find it a "stretch" at best, sensitive a little?
