I spent a lot of time writing that article so maybe you could just click the link and skim through. Hell even do a ctrl+f and look for St. John's or Johnnies.

Why would I look for St. John's in an article about Providences non-conference schedule? I clicked on this thread to see who was on everyones non-con slate, not to read an in depth article about Providence.

Hence the ctrl+f

People were asking for OOC schedule opponents for all the member schools. I just happened to have written an article about Providence's OOC schedule that posted on Monday. So I posted the link. I actually summarize the PC OOC in a few sentences if you actually took 30 seconds to read it.

Road:
Kentucky
Boston College

Home:
Rhode Island
UMass

Neutral:
Notre Dame
Florida State

Rumor is they are working at a road game at Michigan but it has not been finalized (Michigan would return the following year). We will also play two other teams from the Mohegan tournament at home. Will likely play Brown and/or Bryant but have to wait and see on that.

Pretty good slate for Prov

With most schools probably only having a few more slots open, I sure hope Ackerman is working on a "challenge" with the Pac-12 or Big Ten.....

Would love a challenge with the Pac-12. East Coast, Mid-West, West Coast. Lots of eyes out there and the match-ups would be good ones.

I doubt we will see a challenge for this season if one will happen at all.Val can work as hard as anyone but if the Pac isn't interested then there is nothing she can do. Also the B1G still has it's challenge with the ACC for a few more years so that wont happen. A big hurdle might be the difference in membership size. Maybe the Pac rather do it if all 12 schools get to participate maybe they just don't want to do one at all? Maybe we'd be better off scheduling one with the MWC?

To your last point no. If we schedule a challenge it has to be with one of the Big 5 leagues. One with the MWC draws the comparison and put us down on their level when we want to be considered at the Big 5's level.

I agree, but if we can't land the Pac-12 then we wont be able to sign with a P5 league. Also the P5's might be saying the same thing about us.

If we don't get a challenge with a power conference, then we don't do a challenge. No MVC, MWC, or A-10.
