Unfortunately, a win over SHU for either of these teams won't move the meter as far with the committee as a win over Nova would have. Worse, a loss to SHU could keep the winner, especially if it is SJU, out of the tourney --- they may need one more.

And if that were to happen, the for the sake of the conference, Creighton would have to hand Seton Hall the title game to get that extra team in the dance, right? (Although they've still got plenty of work to do to reach the final themselves)

If you told me PC would be up 3 despite Cotton going 0/5 on FG and 1/4 on FT, I'd tell you to put down the crack pipe. Very happy to be up 3 right now.

Relax Hall, I'm not taking shots here. I'm just talking about the reality that is getting into the NCAA tourney. I have nothing against the Hall!

Cotton needs to play the same way in the second half here as he did in the second half in Omaha.

Just got out of meeting... PC up 36-33 at half...?
Any game impressions? Crowd intensity? Pace of game? Foul trouble?

By the way, coming down the hall, a URI fan and a UConn fan chased me down and told me St John's was up 15 at the half...

I'm not offended at all, more just poking fun at the attitude that's gone on all year on this board that we need all ten teams to work for the results that get the maximum number of teams in the tournament. And now it's possible that the tournament championship game could have a direct impact on that number.

Johnnies playing poorly in a huge game in the BET as per usual.

Why does this team do so poorly in the BET? I mean honestly. Well, with Seton Hall ahead now instead of Nova, the oceans are clearing for SJ to make a run to the finals, but in typical fashion we can't get past PC and I mean no disrespect to PC. On paper SJ should have this one. Just another year nipping at the heels of a tourney berth and losing the games that will get them there.

As I say that, PC gets away with a travel and basket ugh.

Terrible feeling based on the eye check. Whatever. Maybe next year (again).

Congrats PC hope you guys make some noise.

I assume the NCAA looks at this game as a Home game for St Johns and an Away game for Providence. That could be important on a weight factor.
