That was just cruel, but I admit I laughed. Would this be the first time Georgetown is missing the tournament in JTIII's tenure?

MIssed the game, what happened? Saw the score and couldn't believe it. I didn't think they could drop a game that they needed like this. Were their shots not falling or did SHU just out play them? Either way, congrats Hall fans. It's a nice win and a good way to boost moral towards the end of the season going into the BET. Could we see a rematch in the first day of the BET? I know GTown sure wishes that doesn't happen.

Georgetown is now officially off the bubble. Their projected RPI has now dropped to 67. The fat lady is getting ready to sing.

I picked the Hoyas to win the Big East this season although I was aware of the risk with Porter leaving. How dumb am I? Hard to understand how this team can play as badly as it does at times even with the loss of Smith. They're loaded with talent but they seem to play without emotion or passion. At this point they need a huge upset over Creighton or Villanova in one of their last 2 games to get back in the mix. If not, then they have to win the BE tourney to get their ticket punched.

Went to the game, SHU played outstanding. I think this was one of the best coached games I have watched all year for Willard. Hope this is a turning of the corner with how he deals with players. Coming back from suspension and off the bench for Teague and Oilver they played great and unsellfishly. This is the SHU team I expected to see with so many seniors and juniors. Why cant we play like this all the time?

Also very good turnout, which I think encouraged the good start.

Willard coached a good game? From reading a lot of threads here in the past, I would've thought that Willard couldn't coach. ;)

Willard CAN coach (as is his reputation of a great X's and O's guy). The perception comes from teams like last years where we had no PG and our 3rd guard off the bench was starting at the 4 du to injuries. The other problem with SHU in the past few years and this year is we only have one guy that is versatile/ complete basketball players in Fuquan. So when we lost FU and then Gibbs and Teague, now SHU has gapping holes that are easily exploited.

Next year we have very versatile guards coming in who can shoot, dribble drive and pass very well (and they are tall). The weakness will be with no real proven 5 for next year.

No. '05 (first year there), '09. Every team, except Duke and Kansas, has a down year from time to time. Georgetown will be back to form next year, hopefully we will too.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
