One thing that may make the Creighton fans play an even bigger, a/k/a louder, role Tuesday night? The school is sponsoring Fan Appreciation Night.

What comes with fan appreciation night at Creighton you ask? How about dollar beers at the arena for an hour before the game! :D Soft drinks are a dollar too, but I doubt we will see as many people availing themselves of that particular option....

I love my alma mater. :D

Bluejay, they have now announced the $1 beers for NINETY minutes prior to tipoff. :D
Butler is the best 0-4 conference team in the country, and this game scares the heck out of anyone with any basketball IQ, especially with our Floor General in an immobilizer.
Can't wait for Gus and Bill to enjoy the C-Link with 18K of their closest Bluejay fans.

If it was DePaul coming in tomorrow night 0-4 I could see there being a letdown. But the fact that their name is Butler and they've recently made back-to-back National Championship games as a program, I don't see our team letting up.

I wish this game was on Wednesday to give us another day of rest but it is what it is. The Bulldogs could easily be 3-1 in the league so I think it will be close to the end, much like the Xavier/CU game. Maybe lower scoring, though.

I'm sure Raftery will take advantage of the dollar beers. :D

That's a bad thing. I'll be muting them and listening to the radio broadcast. The game passed Raftery by 10 years ago.

It will be interesting to see how Woods handles McDermott. He did a respectable job against Marcus Smart.

I like how this Butler team has continued to fight through the 1st 4 games, but this seems like a no-brainer to me. Beating Creighton will require a better game than Butler's played all year and for Creighton to be off. Really could be 0-6 after this week and then the wheels could start coming off. Hate it, but this is a talented league, and the Bulldogs are missing it in some crucial spots.

The Bluejays opened as a 13 pt. favorite tonight but the consensus line has shrunk to 10.5 overnight.
DePaul opened as a 1 pt. favorite at home but that spread has already swung 3 points the other way to the Johnnies being a 2 pt. favorite on the road in Rosemont.
Going to be a fun night on Fox Sports 1!

Heard that D'Angelo Harrison is questionable tonight for St John's, with a mild concussion.

In other Big East player news:
Hoya Nate Lubick got a broken nose at Butler on Saturday.
Hoya Jabril Trawick got a broken jaw at Providence last Wednesday.
On each play, the GU player was called for a foul. Lubick was defending against a Barlow fast break layup, took an elbow, and got whistled. Trawick was throwing a shoulder into Friar big man, leaned in a little too low, and hit into his elbow.

Other injury news:
Spencer Dinwiddie, star on Colorado, is out for the year with a torn ACL.

The Johnnies have dug themselves into such a big hole that the only chance now is a miracle run in the BET...and we'd have to finish at worst 6th to get that 1st round bye. The chances for a bid are basically over already, but if we lose to DePaul we will hit a new low and I'd be very concerned that the players will give up. Nothing but a 5 game winning streak would satisfy me at this point but sadly this team cannot win in bunches. Lavin has 1 more recruiting class to prove he can get guys with real basketball skill and make shots. If he fails, have one of those cartoon cannons and shoot him back to LA. He has the fanbase so down I'm not even sure we will ever make a tournament again.
Let's Go Johnnies!

The Nate Lubick one was horrendous. Literally pulled up to not foul the Butler Player on the Fast Break. Gets elbowed in the Nose and gets the foul called on him. Then they go to the monitor review the play and don't call anything for the elbow to the face. In a normal setting I'd be ok with not giving a flagrant to the Butler player since it was a basketball move, but since it was clear they got the foul call on Lubick wrong as a ref I would've called the flagrant to even our their initial bad call.
