That game was awesome. I was in the first row of the student section screaming. Creighton, like so many foolish teams before them, tried to fullcourt press when Drew Lavender was getting the inbounds. He was a one-man press break, and it was so fun to watch. If he had been put up against VCU's Havoc, he would have destroyed it single-handedly. Just an incredible point guard.

Good summary. Hard for any words to do that game justice. Truly memorable

The degree of difficulty for some of those Korver threes was incredible.

So excited for this game tomorrow, 2pm won't be able to get here soon enough. Another sold out home crowd should help CU come out firing, but X is going to be a heck of a challenge. It comes down to, how CU handles things at the Point without Gibbs (I think Dingman will fill in nicely, as he did vs. DePaul), how Dougie recovers from his shoulder stinger (which could play into things if this is a physical contest), which team wins the rebounding battle (X at +7 rebounding this season, which is in favor of the Musketeers), and which team can shoot the lights out. I think this game will be a better defensive battle then the stats on paper would show, both teams are both underrated when it comes to style of play on defense. I see CU getting out to a solid early lead (CU has started off hot at home the last several games and this should continue), with X chipping away all game - leading up to a close finish, with the Jays protecting their home court with a big early conference season W. Either way this should be a great game between two very solid teams!

I have been told the line is Jays by ten. Way too much. Creighton fans know how tough X always is. For any Musketeers fans coming, should be a great atmosphere. Highs in the 50s tomorrow. The Clink will be full of well-lubricated fans. Should be a great first BE meeting for our schools.

I expect a close, hard fought game with Creighton coming away with the win. However, I would not be shocked if Xavier sneaks out of there with a win of their own. At least I hope so. Such a tough place to play.

I (belatedly) break down the Xavier-Marquette game and then offer a preview of the Xavier-Creighton game. Hope you enjoy!

Today's pre-game article by excellent long-time Creighton beat writer Steve Pivovar in our Omaha World Herald:

Whose winning streak will continue?
The line in Vegas opens with Bluejays favored by 10 pts.
