Jayball,
Thanks for the support! :D
I will take your advice and bail along with others.
Right now, I would rather go read TheBluejayCafe or listen to a Matt Perrault podcast than any thread that has been started or trashed by Friar, Steve and the like that have diminished this site that was so great.
I will pray for Gibbs and Dougie Mac to have positive MRI results today so than we can enjoy the rest of this dream season!
#rolljays
SO pumped to be a member of the new Big East!

JAY DOG wrote:FryerFan, please start another new thread titled "Has Creightan and the Mcdermots improved more on offense or defense the last 3 years?"
And then SteveR will argue with everyone about it, and it will be like every other thread on this rapidly-declining forum!

I am about done here, but before I go, I would like to say:
1. HolyLand founders and admins, this was a great idea and started out as a great site/forum.
2. Fellow forum members, while we Bluejays are one of the pledges in this great new fraternity, we are very excited to see what happens after this rookie year when we have one of our better teams in our history, but let's talk about that stuff AFTER the season we are enjoying right now! While the next couple of years may be a struggle/climb, I would like to enjoy THIS year, which people on here won't let me do, so great luck to all of the teams of you argumentative, pessimistic, backward looking and comparing folks on here.
3. After this year that I wish we discussed as it is occurring, you can rest assured that our fervent fan base of over 15K season-ticket holders will be there while our great coaching staff makes the proper adjustments to change our team from Mo Valley talent/style and recruiting to the style, recruiting and talent needed to compete with the storied programs that are our new Brothers in the Big East. We have everything in place to make the move to the Big East!
4. THIS YEAR, we are defensively MUCH improved over the last two year, with mainly the same (some would argue lesser) lineup, and that is all chalked up to coaching staff and effort of those 4 returning starters. Offensively, we are also better because of the experience of our lineup and the chemistry
I love college hoops and watching all teams and especially my Bluejays and the Big East, play NOW, so tire of the drivel about who has the most storied past, or best upside or blah, blah, blah.
I just don't know how much longer I can take Fryer and Steve and LAvinwood or a a few others expertly posting and arguing with everybody on almost EVERY single thread!! These threads on who is the biggest underachiever, coach-dogging, etc. are just depressing. If I want that I can go to Shockernet.net, where today people rejoince about injuries last night to our players.
I thought the folks here were better than that, and I still do, but as long as people don't call-to-task these few that are wrecking this potentially-great forum, it will continue to slide until it is like CSNbbs' Big East forum i already.
Happy New Year to all, and may all of your teams kick ass unless they play the Bluejays!
Jay Dog

I'm feeling you Dog. Are you aware of the friends and foes feauture that's on you User Control Panel? I found this nifty little feature early on and the three posters you mentioned were placed in the "foes" category from early on. This may bring you back to the fold? Also agree with most of you above sentiments on our new Big East and living in the now. Take Care my friend.
