JAY DAWG,

I sense that you are a Wichita State troll jealous that your friends at Creighton have a new home to talk abut college basketball, television contracts, weekly games and their impact on the tournament selection, etc... The creighton fans get to talk about this topic that interests them with fans from dc, new york city, new england, new jersey, and other parts of the mid-west. Kind of a cool thing.

Stever,
Good post.

Omahanian,
I am buying you any adult beverage of your choice at the Xaviar game next Sunday for that IGNORE pearl of wisdom.
Just PM me to collect!
I hope the Mods here don't a dozen to ruin/kill a sweet forum site, but we shall see. You and I have both been witness to a great hoops forum going down the crapper because of unmoderated and bad threat content.
PITA posters, have your heyday, I can ignore! But if you roach this site, it is all on you!
Happy New Year!
SO pumped to be a member of the new Big East!

If trying to assure the greatest number of bids, in games between two teams with potential bids on the line, it would be best for RPI purposes to pick the home team. Home losses hurt the RPI more than road losses and vice versa.

Wow, very interesting that DePaul has two midweek games - Tuesday and Thursday games this week, that's pretty rough.

Jays have quite a week ahead, first visit to Chicagoland to take on DePaul, and hopefully keep the win streak alive as they should be able to head home with two road wins. The home game on Sunday night vs. Xavier is looking very interesting, both teams are on a solid roll and could be very well playing for a spot in the Top 25 if they take care of business earlier in the week. I am looking for the Jays to once again use the home court to their advantage, and pull off a squeaker on Sunday night... but its really a game that could go either way - and should be a lot of fun to watch!

Looks like creighton v xavier could be for a chance at a ranking for creighton. Xavier still not getting enough respect in the polls.

This game is setting up to be one of the biggest of the week for sure. Whoever wins in Omaha on Sunday - barring losses early in the week - should almost certainly be ranked. I had this game circled as a big early season game for Creighton, and it looks like Sunday's game will be just that! Going to be a lot of fun!!!

Creighton and nova do their thing.

Georgetown with another head scratching loss that hurts the conference.

2-1 in the results we want so far.

Xavier and butler tomorrow night.

Here's my take on the Xavier-Marquette game.

http://fromstaaktomack.wordpress.com/20 ... e-to-town/

I think Davante Gardner and Matt Stainbrook are the two best centers in the league this season, so that should be a fun matchup to watch.

EDIT: Thinking about it, "center" might be a poor characterization for Gardner. "Space-eating big" would be a better descriptor, just like it is for Xavier's Philmore.
