Butler plays at Ball State and Evansville this year, they almost lost the first and I could see a similar thing happening again

As the other Creighton poster said, this game is a return game from the stupid Bracketbuster event that ESPN put together. Butler should know something about those type of games.

We do have a few games remaining from a couple of home and home series with mid majors that were arranged before be entered the BIg East. Luckily, one of them is Tulsa, who will be stepping up to the AAC next year. The other series are St Joe's and North Texas. The North Texas series was put together because we recruit Texas hard and it gives a chance for our current players to play a game at home. I suspect with the change of leagues, we may be able to replace these contracts with better teams in the future.

We also have a Bracketbuster return game against Loyola that still hasn't been returned...I have no idea if we can buy our way out of that thing...

Ugly start. Jays seem to have lost our mojo.

Jays have been on the road for more than a week and coach is playing lots of guys to keep them fresh. CU up 10+. Gibbs appears to be injured and is out for now which is a concern.

Jays rolling huge. LB may be the best 1-7 team in the country. Look at their schedule. Brutal. The ship appears to have been righted. Let's kick some Husker ass on Sunday and all will be forgiven.

One point to make about Long Beach- RPI wise, they are now 0-8. Their win was vs D2 team(so doesn't count). Creighton's RPI went down from 74 to 93 after playing them tonight- which is no surprise, as your opponents record counts 50% in RPI.

Long Beach is a good team, and I think they still have the old Gonzaga coach... or they at least still have his recruits.

Long Beach has 8 losses, but they were against Arizona, Michigan, Kansas State twice, Washington, Virginia Commonwealth, Creighton, and Loyola Marymount by 1. They also will be playing NC State, Southern Cal and Missouri this month. Their schedule has been stacked, and their record and RPI will be fine once they play the Irvine Anteaters and those types. In 6 weeks this will be a good road win for Creighton. What's their SOS right now?

Yeah, saw that. Once they win a single game, CU's RPI will automatically bounce up about 30 points or so.

Ken Pom has them going 10-20- with 2 of the wins D2 wins that don't count. 8 SOS right now...
