60% of the league receiving votes is solid

I think if we had a teams ranked 9 / 15/ 22 and then 3 teams receiving votes, I would consider that solid. One team at 9, another at 22, and 4 teams on the outside looking in doesn't scream solid to me. It screams glorified A-10.

Just for context the A-10 had two teams receiving votes and it was Dayton with 1 vote and Davidson with 5 that's nowhere close to the big east. I thought the big east would have 3 rank teams but a couple wins by G-town, Xavier, Providence, and Marquette and they will be there

The pre-season polls mean absolutely nothing. If we win in the non-conference, we will get ranked.

I think they mean more than you think. For one, if you are ranked- it helps TV ratings. I mean if casual fan has option to watch say game with #10 vs #19 or a game with 2 unranked teams- which game do you think they're going to watch?

Georgetown should be ranked. Luckily, most of our potential tourney teams have solid non-conferences so we can move into the top 25 pretty easily.
