Kinda suprised by this to be honest thought I'm not sure I should be. Hopefully this is just a move to get a higher salary but you never know. Wouldn't be the first time X lost a coach to Wake. But I just really don't wanna go through a coaching search. As a Tennessee Football fan, if its one thing I've learned to hate it is coaching searches.

That would be hilarious, though I'm not sold on Archie just yet, given where X's program is positioned now.

Otherwise, keep this in context. The last time Xavier lost a coach to Wake Forest, it was Skip Prosser. The Cintas Center was brand new, but we were still in the A10 and all the heavy S16 and E8 runs hadn't happened yet. Things are definitely different now. X certainly has to step up and make sure Chris is fairly compensated vis-a-vis this Wake offer, assuming it's real. The only other factor that I can think of that would have Chris considering a change of scenery is his relationship with Greg Christopher, assuming that's an issue. I've not heard one thing that indicates that is the case.

Wake going after Chris makes sense to me. I just doubt that Wake makes sense to Chris.
