OOC Games to watch Sun 3/9

Syracuse @ Florida St- A FSU win would be a killer for BE Bubble teams
Indiana St vs Wichita St- A ISU win would steal a bid
Wisconsin @ Nebraska- A Nebraska win would likely clinch a bid for Nebraska, who is the 4 seed in the Big Ten tourney- and thus doesn't have to play the 12 seed 1st round.

must win type of games:
La Salle vs St Joseph's
Penn St vs Minnesota
BC vs North Carolina St

So far so good for BE bubble teams. Syracuse won, and Wichita St won. St. Joes vs LaSalle is close early (16 to 12 St. Joes on top)

Wisky played like they were paid to throw the game.

Just saw on Warren Nolan's RPI site Nebraska's RPI up to #41 now. Nebraska very likely now tourney bound- would play #23 Ohio St in the QF of the Big Ten. Even a loss there and they should be safe.

Probably part of it was that they had their seed clinched and couldn't move up at all with a win. Nebraska the more desperate team.

That is a definite flaw in the system is... not that they'd throw a game, but what incentive did Wisconsin really have to beat Nebraska...? Doesn't Wisconsin benefit financially if an additional Big Ten school gets an NCAA bid...? We're almost better off with a European Champions League type set up... conferences get bids based on the conference's past NCAA perfomance.

Bad loss for St. Joe's. A loss to Dayton in the first round of the A10 tournament would leave them teetering on the edge of the bubble.
