Wed 11/13 BE Game Thread (5 games)

Postby TheHall » Wed Nov 13, 2013 9:12 am

As far as I know SHU & Depaul are the only teams facing highly competitive match-ups tonight, with the blue demons being a 1 point dog at home.

Kent State @ Seton Hall 7p EST FS2
Mount St. Mary's @ Villanova 7p EST CBSSN
Wright St. @ Georgetown 7p EST FS1
Brown @ Providence 8p EST Fox Sports Net
Southern Miss @ DePaul 9p EST FS2

Good luck!

None of the wins will get much notoriety, but Wright St, Kent St, and Southern Miss would all be quality wins.

Wright St is an NCAA tournament quality team that returns most of their team that lost in their conference championship game last year.

That plus the Hoyas jet lag could make this game more interesting that we would like.

The Kent St(just beat Temple) and Southern Miss(pretty solid CUSA team) would definitely be really good wins.

Don't know about this year' steam, but Brown has been known to give PC a tough time. Local rivalry and all that stuff.

Good luck to everybody! I'll be watching and cheering you on.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

With Kent St's win over Temple, they suddenly look scarier than they did a few days ago. Should be a nice measuring stick for where the Seton Hall team is presently.

Georgetown game could be more challenging than many will give it credit for...

Anything less than 4-1 tonight is bad news.

With all BE teams playing at home I believe 5-0 is the only acceptable record tonight.

This is true, they have pulled the upset a few times over the years including last year over an injury depleted Friar team (despite 37 points from Henton). Brown hit 2 threes in the last minute. Was a crushing loss. The game was played at Brown, which is very unusual. Small, packed gym.

I don't know if DePaul losing to Southern Miss would be viewed as much of a surprise by many. Looking at KenPom- they're only a 66% favorite tonight. The other 4- are at least 84%. If we went 4-1 tonight I don't think we'd be viewed too poorly.

4-1 would be fine as long as the 1 is DePaul.
