28th overall and 8th in the Big East because reasons.

Just imagine how high Butler would've been with Chris Holtmann, Kyle Young, and Cooper Neese.

If the 8th best team in our league is the 28th best team in the country 8-) I'll take it.

Absolutely!!!

But in all seriousness, the coaches have a better pulse than outside writers. I mentioned earlier they should be higher than 8th in the BEast, I could see about 6th or 7th. Definitely not nationally ranked barely outside of the top 25 (at 28) & 4th in the league.

I don't buy the SH hype. Hopefully this isn't my VU bias talking, but I see Nova in its own tier, then a crowded but wide open 2nd tier with X, PC, SH, Marquette, BU, and Creighton. Brunson might've been the best player in the conference last season, even before the injuries plagued the conference.

Having said that, Nova needs to get out of the 1st weekend more often than they have the past 7 seasons, 5 of them as a 1 or 2 seed. It's entering embarrassing territory.

I think if almost any other program had coming back what Seton Hall has coming back- they would be ranked a whole lot higher than 23.

As far as Nova- having won the title eases things considerably. I'd rather be what Nova has been these last 7 seasons over a team like an Arizona- with 5 at least sweet 16's and 3 elite 8's.

Maybe the BE coaches know more than the rest?

History says otherwise since we are picked bottom-half like every year.

So right now Butler is the 28th best team in the country? You honestly think thats more accurate than 8th in the BE?

Coach Cooley - "...Well, we have great coaches on this league, we have an unbelievable league, actually we have The Best League... Thank god for our president getting rid of all the football schools so we can be a Basketball centric conference" - Gotta love Cooley! He says it like he sees it!

It isn't hype, they are loaded and this is the year that Nova while still probably winning the league regular season doesn't run away with it.

Coaches showing more respect to SJ picked at 6 than many posters on here. God I hope this is the year we "come out of nowhere" to finish top 5 and earn a bid. Butler is a great program but is anyone aware they lost people including well...their head coach? Give them tons of credit but they have the biggest question mark going into the season with a new coach.
