On the other hand, we gave up 94 points last night, 82 to UMKC of all teams, and 77 to a bad Washington State team. To an extent, that's going to happen when you are shooting on average less than 15 seconds into the shot clock (I think they said at one point in the second half before we took the air out of the ball that it was like 12 seconds on average at that point), the other team is going to get a lot of possessions. There are going to be games where no one can get the ball to go down. I am hoping the guys can buckle down on defense when that happens or they will get blown out - kind of like what happened to Nova in that first game against OU in the airplane hanger last year. But judging from the early results it is hard to imagine too many games where more than one or two guys have trouble hitting his shot.

I don't know what Patton said, but I bet it surprised the ref. I mean that kid has the look of a middle school alter boy. I can't imagine him saying anything, let alone something to get T'd up.
