Hey Ball... is that a target on your back or do you work for the Red Cross?

As a passionate Creighton guy... It is very unusual for me to cheer and rant for "the enemy" (our conference brethren). However, this "Group of 10" is a special group. This Big East Conference is a spectacular conference - a conference and a group of universities that I am very proud of and humbled by our (Creighton's) admission and acceptance in. The subset of fans here on the HLH is an extraordinary assemblage and is a fun bunch to asociate with. Being a part of the Big East is one of our dreams come true - becoming a player on the big stage. Thanks to all. As such, it is easy to cheer for you guys before and after conference play. IMO the camaraderie is real, the conference loyalty is real...and as Coach Wright said (paraphrase): "It's us against them." We are all in this deal together. There is not any other group that I'd rather be associated with, fight together with, than all of you in the Big East. Luv ya.

NovaBall. That was a really nice little speech. Who wrote it for ya?
Love ya Ball.

Thank you Villanova for another National Championship in Basketball for the Big East. You done real good!
Nothin' left to prove, now we can really begin to roll as the top hoops conference in the land.
America, we're just gettin' warmed up! Go Big East!

I really believe most fans of the Big East, even the ones that don't post were VERY happy for the Nova win. I post on the 2 Providence boards and everyone was pulling for Nova and were extremely exited that Nova did it. Now all of the other BE teams will be out to kick the reigning national champions ass next year. That didn't happen very much this past season.

And next year when I post stuff like...

"Hey Providence fans, are you scared of playing #TheChamps on Saturday?"
"Yo Creighton, when's the last time #TheChamps have visited your house?"
"You (insert team) fans think you are going to come to Philly and beat #TheChamps? Ha, I laugh out loud at all of you!"
"Hey, don't feel bad about that loss. You guys tried super hard. Not many teams are able to beat #TheChamps"
"Good to see #TheChamps taking their show to Broadway this week. 34th and 7th is going to be rocking!"

Please take it with a grain of humor.

It is your duty and your responsibility to rub that shit in until next March. We expect nothing less and are pussies if we can't take it!

Joining the BE was the best thing to happen to Xavier University since I stepped on campus in 1984. This is a great league with 10 excellent institutions. It is a great feeling to pull for everyone in this conference. I had friends who went to Houston for the simple notion of rooting for one of ours. We, Xavier, were out and their feeling of being at a loss was knowing we, Villanova, was still carrying the BE banner. Yes, Kentucky, Duke, Indiana and a slew of other big programs were rooting for Nova but it was more so rooting against UNC. I rooted hard for Nova and I was emotional when Jenkins' shot went in and I screamed like crazy. For me all 10 schools in our conference had won over the national bias and the so-called pundits who think very little of us as a league. Yes, Villanova had won but so did the other 9 great institutions which make this awesome conference. We are going to be bigger and better because of this. Doug Gottlieb can go eat a bag of Richards.
