thing is, even if Belmont is like what they were last year, they were only #135 in Ken Pom. So while a decent game, it's not going to move the needle.

If anything, Marquette has got to hope that Iowa, and then their opponents in the Legends Classic are good.

You think a team that returns 4 starters (3top scorers) is going to be just the same at best? I'm not saying they'll be world beaters but I'd bet you a solid local six pack of beer they end up in the top 25 at some point with a better rpi than last year

Just saw Belmont appear on the College Sports Madness countdown at #90. It's a decent game for Marquette- but not what you should be having for your 5th best OOC game.

Marquette has an awful OOC this year. Maybe that will help them build some confidence with the new guys. But it isn't going to help the conference much.

Marquette's OOC schedule this year reminds me of St John's 2 years ago.
