You watch the Rifleman on AMC on Saturday mornings ? The star of that show, Chuck Conners , was born in Brooklyn, NY. My father lived in the same apartment he did. He lived downstairs with his family. He was Catholic and went to the same Church my father did. He went to Seton Hall before WW 2 and played for the Boston Celtics, the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs !!! He also got drafted by the Chicago Bears but never suited up !!!!! You know that Seton Hall fans ? did he play for Seton Hall basketball or baseball ? What an amazin life that guy had. Why did he go to Seton Hall and not St. John's ?????? Joe Lapcheck let a great talent slip away. He went to Seton Hall for 2 years and then entered the army in 1942 and became a tank warfare instructor at West Point. Men of steel back then.
