The biggest issue with the baseball tournament is actually the timing. I'd be all about going if it wasn't memorial day weekend.

I hope next year, we can get the Big East baseball championship at TD Ameritrade and atleast alternate it. I guarantee there will be better attendance at those games than in Brooklyn this year. Same with soccer, alternating it with east coast and midwest (Morrison Stadium) would be nice.

Big East Tournament games at TD Ameritrade would fill up nicely when Creighton plays, but what about when they don't? What if they go 2 and out? Big East officials likely had a good idea of who the four tournament teams would be before they selected a venue and it played out as expected, so I think MCU Park was a solid choice for this year because it guarantees at least 4 games with a local school playing (St. John's and Seton Hall).

The Creighton game itself will probably get a few thousand by itself atleast. Not sure the whole tourney at MCU will get that many total but hopefully ill be presently surprised.

Yeah, this tourney needs to move to TD next year if possible. Creighton vs. XU game "might" have 100 people in the stands and 40 of them are SHU and SJU players.

Even if they go 2 and out, based on yesterday's attendance numbers, I'd feel pretty confident in saying that the attendance at just those two games would be greater than the combined attendance for every single game in this year's tourney. Hell, the attendance at just one of the Creighton games would probably outdraw the entire attendance at this year's tourney. ;)

Somebody above said that the league picked this year's location because they wanted greater exposure. If nobody goes, there is no exposure! Sure, it looks kinda neat to have an amusement park in the background, but if at any point in time, there is actually more people in one of the cars on the roller coaster than sitting in the stadium, the impact is diminished.

The Big 10 baseball tourney is in Omaha this weekend and is drawing well over 10,000 per day. If the Big East doesn't move to fast to lockup TD Ameritrade for 2015 and thereafter, the Big Ten will take it and box out the Big East.

(As an aside, the league might also try to get broadcasters for the webcast that weren't around when Abner Doubleday was inventing the game.)

Every D-1 conference, at least every major conference, is playing their baseball tourney this weekend. The NCAA's start next weekend.
