Xavier was booted from Old Spice since Marquette had signed their contract first and they are actually enforcing the 1 school per conference rule this year.
Xavier will be playing in Anaheim instead against a pretty crappy field.

I hope they do the right thing and sign the musketeers on for the following years tourny.

Xavier wasn't booted from the Old Spice at least to my understanding. They chose to withdraw. Georgetown and Butler are both playing in Atlantis. Xavier could have stayed in Old Spice if they wanted to from what I understand. Speculation (my own) is Xavier didn't want to compete and that's why they're in a much weaker tournament now.

The Director of Basketball Ops, the one in charge of scheduling, specifically stated that we were pushed out because we signed a contract after Marquette and that we didn't ask to be out. That's all I know. I have no idea why we would want to play lesser competition, our OOC schedule isn't exactly strong right now.
