Defensively, Butler wasn't good by any stretch, but they weren't that far off from being a middle of the road defense in this conference. Offensive is where the greatest growth needs to occur.

Overall, proud of the way the team fought. Effort was rarely an issue with this group. Good luck to the Pirates and the rest of the teams in the conference going forward.

What do you think Idawg? One more transfer leaving? Do you think Miller can get any Juco's qualified to enroll at Butler? I'm thinking we have as many as 4 scholarships to fill this spring. That's keeping Barlow as a Walk-On, filling Castro, Smeathers, + the one more maybe leaving.

No way Barlow remains a walk-on. Too important to the team.

I know what you are saying, but wasn't he a walk on his first two years? I imagine he had/has some other arrangement on tuition and fees. He may have a scholarship this year as one was available. Not sure of this, but I do know he walked on first year and I think his second. What ever his situation, he isn't going anywhere and I think he just may be the most indispensable player on the team. His A/TO ratio this year was very good at 3.1. Before the last play I said to my wife, I don't think Dunham should be taking this last shot....let it be Barlow. OK, he missed, but I had confidence in him.
