Marquette,

Thanks for the sentiment, but I'm sorry to tell you that I was extremely disappointed with Marquette, your team and fans (and the griping on this thread--we shot 62 percent and actually played the game of BASKETBALL, not football you freak no-flop-metal-plate heads). Thought our Jebbie bros would be a lot classier. My favorite moment was when Austin Chatman dropped a DAGGER that sent the drunk boo-birds to the exits. Grant Gibbs' bloody fat lip and our banged up Men won't forget that hostility any time soon.

NO injuries. A WIN. Goodbye.

How do you get Jebbie from Jesuit?

W&B77 can be a little out there, but he's right about the "Jebbie" nickname. I have no idea about the origin, but the Jesuits have been referred to as "Jebbies" for generations.

Everyone please ignore W&B77. He's not indicative of our fanbase as a whole.

I'm proud our team got a great road win in a tough environment. Marquette/Creighton will be a battle for years I think.

Tough, hard fought game only marred by all the whistles on both sides. Creighton knew Marquette would be up for this game and that this is an incredibly difficult road arena to travel to and win. Marquette was probably more fired up to start and really came out firing -- Was worried we wouldn't weather the storm early, but Wragge got free for some shots (he's a very tough matchup for their bigs), and overall Creighton did a great job of holding onto the ball (MU came in getting close to 20 turnovers a game the past 3 games and CU only gave up 11) -- for this CU offense it's all about possessions, when they rebound and don't turn it over, they have a great chance of getting enough good looks to eventually get shots to fall.

Good luck to Marquette down the stretch.
