Good game Creighton, very impressive display. I've never seen so many great defensive possessions still end with a made 3. Very frustrating to play against. The pirates hurt themselves a bit in this game too with some uncharacteristically poor free throw shooting and the mistake of trying to match Creighton 3 for 3 in the first half (Creighton's shooting actually cooled off a bit in the 2nd half). The pirates did a good job driving and forcing their way to the line to chip into the lead in the 2nd half, but again, missed too many to be a real threat.

Through all that, the biggest difference in this game was probably rebounding. Creighton absolutely dominated the boards. SHU isn't a great rebounding team even with Teague. They didn't have a chance without him.

Again, good game Creighton. For SHU, they've just gotta put this one behind them and get ready for nova. The Wildcats are a better matchup for SHU and a team they beat last year so hopefully they'll come out with some confidence.

When Creighton makes 3 pointers they sure look good. Really enjoy seeing a team play intelligent team basketball every now and then.

It's ridiculous seeing an entire team make a percentage from 3 on the season that I often don't see more than one Xavier player hit. Hell, in 2010 (Jordan Crawford's one year), Xavier had the 40th best 3-point percentage in the nation and still no individual player shot as well as Creighton did as a team.

Great defensive possessions? I saw some solid defensive possessions, but great? Hardly, Hall gave open look after open look, they failed to close out and gave too much space to shooters. Or they over played and let them drive and score. They showed poor man defense, poor on ball defense, poor rotation defense, poor help defense, they're just really pretty poor defensively all the way around.

Our shot % was actually below the season average yesterday, we haven't shot that well the last few games. But we were much better on offensive rebounding and turnovers, so the end result looked good.

They definitely were victimized by the more patient team - I remember thinking regularly during the game that the Hall was playing solid defense on a given possession only to see it break down completely 5 seconds later. Willard must be pulling his figurative hair out. :)

This certainly wasn't one of Seton Hall's best games. Having both Teague an Geramipoor (both centers) out didn't help either. That said, Creighton is a well coached team, McDermott is a special player (Jays will really miss him next year but I'll be happy to see him go ;) ) and the team overall has an excellent court awareness. Good luck to the Jays the rest of the way.
As always, this is Just One Pirate's Opinion!
