I think they already showed that they are by sticking with the AAC rather than doing something else. I don't see the ACC making any move for UConn when their football program is a mess. Not a chance. With that your supposition falls totally apart. A conference with UConn, Cincy, Temple, Memphis is a good one. SMU is rapidly improving. The thing is, the AAC as it is right now is not as a big of a drop off as folks were thinking. So it's not letting their basketball suffer at the hands of football at all. It'd definitely not enough of a drop off to make them even remotely consider committing suicide on their football program to "save" the basketball program.

Also- quite frankly- I don't think we take them even if they were willing.

It doesn't matter how good their football team is. Just that they have a FBS one. Same with Duke and UNC. Also Cuse. All basketball schools that almost always suck in football.

Those teams are trying to get into the P5 conferences. They won't commit suicide on their football teams at all right now. They need to showcase that to get into the P5 conferences..... I just don't see any of those teams willing to do that. And also- we don't take them even if they were willing.

Back to VCU . . .

Despite the win, I guess we saw today what Georgetown is afraid of if at VCU. If they are empowered with a Big East membership, the imagination runs wild.
