The ACC is a mess. The bottom two teams (Louisville and Florida State) are 1-17. Throw in the next team (Boston College) and its 6-22. Throw in the next team (North Carolina) and its 11-26. Now the bulk of that is Louisvill and the Seminoles but there are a lot of bad losses in the league.

IMHO, there's no way 6-3 X is barely a top 50 team! Ken Poms and Sagarins both have them in the top 30, and their 3 losses have been close and very competitive losses to Duke, Indiana, and Gonzaga, and by a total of 13 points. The result of tomorrow afternoon's game against 6-3 Cincy in the Crosstown Shootout (3pm on ESPN2, which NET says is a tossup) will let us know!

Right now Xavier is at 44 in NET and 30 in KP. Not that much of a difference at all.

I think why Xavier is so low in NET compared to KP/Sagarin- KP/Sagarin still have last year baked in. So:
Duke 12 in NET 13 in KP (ok not much difference) 9 in Sagarin(some difference)
Gonzaga 22 in NET 9 in KP(pretty big difference) 7 in Sagarin(really big difference)

So Gonzaga not anywhere close to as impressive to NET as they are in KP or Sagarin.

Also- wouldn't say NET says tomorrow is a tossup. Xavier is 44. Cincy is 154.

Need to win most of the 9 games left to salvage what's been a disappointing ooc so far. It's going to be tough with only 2 home games.

That's a solid jump.

Thanks for sharing update.

I think its realistic to surpass the SEC for 3rd if we close the OOC strong. And that would be huge considering that its been a relatively poor OOC slate for the Big East

lots of the SEC is gonna hinge on the SEC/Big 12 challenge in January.

Teams are still moving around wildly so there's still time to get BE's NET improved before we run out of opportunities. As it stands there are 8 Q1, 7 Q2, 6 Q3, and 1 Q4 opportunities in the conference (subtract your own team's from that). It'd be ideal to get that to something like 10, 6, 5, 1. But I don't think we're passing the SEC because B12 has such pristine NET numbers.
