DePaul forced a turnover to cut the lead to two, but Loyola then broke the press for an easy basket, Jones missed a 3, and that was pretty much all she wrote.

Decisive stretch in this game came with Ongenda on the bench with 4 fouls, during which time Loyola went on a 21-9 run.

Final: Loyola 68, DePaul 64

Sorry DePaul lost, but they were competitive with a very good team. It was nice to see the arena so animated. That's the way it should be and I think will be once the team gets more established. That is a great looking arena and looks even better with lots of people!

Creighton has not had one solid offensive possession in over 8 minutes of play. This is amazingly bad performance so far, and they're leading...

Nice week PC. Y'all more than deserve to be ranked IMO. So does Xavier and Creighton (should they beat Iowa State). Big things for the BE this year.

so bizarre to see a Creighton team scoring 37 points with 8 minutes to go in the game.

Disappointing, but can't get too upset with 7th, 9th, and 11th ranked teams losing to superior teams, although 2 of games were at home.

With the exception of Ryan Hawkins, who was awesome last night for CU, the Jays sure looked like a bunch of freshman last night. Oh well. Move on to the next one.
