That was a super well played game. St. John’s played some of their best ball all year on offense but X just wouldn’t let the lead get bigger than 10-12 points. They just kept fighting back time and time again. That’s a really good Xavier team. I hope they make the tournament

Congrats on the win. You guys were focused and you wanted it.

I imagine your coach’s stock is rising.

Unfortunately, Travis is getting blasted on XH.

Johnnies ripping X’s bid away?! Damn, gong to have a jump ball for that bid, which way is the possession arrow? And UCONN took whatever change the Friars had, they didn’t have a bid left. Looked like two new bid thieves.

Xavier will be fine. That win over Oklahoma will be huge for them.

If we’re trying to maximize bids, last night was perfect. UConn and SJU both just on the outside looking in (per Lunardi), so both teams got much needed home wins. X is still safely in, I would think.....

There are very few on our board that foolishly want Steele gone, NOTHING like The MU board....truly torches and pitchforks over there!

For me I can't understand why TS is still tinkering with his rotation this late. Granted, the C19 issues has had a lot to do with it but we need continuity regardless.

Our frontcourt has been exposed. ZFree is fantastic but he has no help. Losing Ben Stanley was a massive blow in this regard. So, either Griffin plays a larger role (should be a double/double machine with a major increase in usage) or go with a 4 guard/wing + Free. I like Scruggs, Johnson, Jones, Wilcher to start. They are solid shooters with versatile scoring abilities plus all 4 of those guys can take care of the ball and get after it defensively as well.

Look for Wilcher to get more run. He is a BIG guard with a nasty edge.....BEast ready from day one!
Wisdom is what you get 5 seconds after you needed it.

INTERESTING games. The Johnnies surging...BOUK and the Huskies back on track...Gonna make for an interesting last two weeks. Go Johnnies! Go Huskies!

Not sure what to make of the Muskies, but I think and hope they don't play their way OUT of a bid. "Mister Anderson", Mike...not Neo, is earning his keep in the Big Apple.
Way to play down the stretch Johnnies! UConn (with Bouknight) is BACK to being a contenda...Nice! Kick some butts in Radnor Bouk!

Down goes the Champ, the Champ is down (not out),
and struggling to get up...

Feels like St Johns is the most dangerous team coming into the conference tourney. Remember all the Johnnies calling for Anderson's head...

How is St. John's a bid thief? We've been right on the bubble for a couple weeks now and are trending up. Xavier will be fine, it was a Q1 game for them anyways. Certainly not a bad loss.

Not me!! But for certain fans, the mayhem that another coaching change would bring was better than showing a little patience....
