John Rothstein reporting that one of the refs of the Butler - Uconn game has tested positive. Both program back on pause? Game between Huskies abs Wildcats cancelled for tomorrow.

This sucks.

How are these teams going to catch up on all these missed games? This is getting serious. Do they just not complete the the round robin schedules? Do you think there is any plan on trying to catch up? How will they decide conference standings and championship?

There are clearly going to be unbalanced schedules. SHU might play 16 games and X plays 10. Who knows?

I think we have to be honest and pragmatic here. The only fair way to align conference standings in this crazy year is by how well a coach dresses. I mean that’s clearly the only option left. :D

Common sense says we have to start following the MVC/Horizon model from here on out. When you get 2 healthy teams at one location, you have to play 2. Getting games in are far more important than worrying about any home court advantage. I say play even if televising both is not possible.

I really do not think you are going to get coaches that are going to want to sign up for that; especially if it is not at home. Despite there being no or minimal fans in the stands being at your home gym and not having to travel is an advantage. Xavier put up a huge stink in regards to where the Shootout was going to take place. Do you think Travis is going to say, "Yeah, I think we should play two games in a row at Villanova." That, like it or not, is signing up for two high probable losses in a year where game inventory is low. How would you feel having to play two at Georgetown or DePaul where one loss, let alone two in back to back days could take you from a 9 seed to out of the tournament? I want to see games as much as anyone else, but I don't think coaches are signing up for that.

Especially coaches of teams that are currently projected in the field.

UConn at SJU on Sunday has also been postponed. The game was scheduled to be nationally broadcast on Fox. Bummer....

Rank'em by the coach's hair loss. Bald is #1, balding #2, shaved head #3, and so forth. Mac and Jay are 9th & 10th, unless they both shave their heads.

by the by...a bit surprised that it's Youcan n Bulter on pause. I just figured the Radnorrites wanted another vacation... ;)
